The Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) proposes to allocate additional investment quotas for the construction of ships in the Far East in 2022.

This was announced during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin by Ilya Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Head of the Federal Agency for Fishery. He briefed the President on the state of affairs in the fishing industry, and also on the implementation of the investment quotas mechanism.

“Now the construction of 107 vessels has been announced: within the framework of investment quotas, it will be 56 vessels, within the framework of the crab auction, 35 more crab vessels will be built, the rest will be built as part of the support measure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ... Also 25 onshore factories will be built. Now 11 have already been built. Of the 107 vessels, four have already been delivered to the customer, 11 have been launched. " said Mr. Shestakov.

At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Head of Federal Agency for Fishery Ilya Shestakov

“And there is a proposal to continue this program (investment quotas - Kommersant ), taking into account the capabilities of the shipyards and from 2022 to allocate an additional volume of investment quotas directly for the Far East basin, since the renewal there is not so significant,” said Mr. Shestakov. “These are examples of ships that are currently being built and have already been handed over to customers. These are examples of the most modern fish processing factories now, ”he said.

In August, the government approved a subsidy for the construction of crab fishing vessels. Fishing companies will receive compensation from the state for the construction of vessels for fishing in the Far Eastern shipyards. The amount of the subsidy will be 20% of the order value, but should not exceed 340 million rubles. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been charged with concluding agreements on granting subsidies and monitoring their implementation.

At the end of 2019, Vladimir Putin agreed to issue budget subsidies for the construction of crab catchers at the shipyards of the Far East. Then it was announced that the customers of the ships will be able to receive compensation from the budget up to 20% of their value.
